I have detailed below some of the awards available, this is not an exhaustive list. Remember to check if bursaries are available when enquiring at a school or educational institution, as they are often available but not always advertised.
Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation
Supporting young people to access the care and education that helps them thrive. We widen access to the opportunities available in state boarding and independent schools for young people with care experience and those facing barriers to opportunity.
The Sutton Trust
The Sutton Trust runs a wide range of programmes aimed at improving social mobility by supporting young people from less advantaged backgrounds to access to access leading universities and careers. Their programmes are completely free to attend. All costs – including travel, accommodation, food and activities – are paid for by the Trust and partners.
PMT Education
Revision course bursaries available. GCSE revision classes designed to support students throughout their study journey, from two-day crash courses to help kick-start revision, to one-day GCSE exam preparation courses to assist students in honing their exam technique.
