University of Oxford Astrophoria Foundation Year

The Astrophoria Foundation Year is a one-year foundation programme for UK state school students. It is aimed at those with significant academic potential, who have experienced severe personal disadvantage or disrupted education which has resulted in them being unable to apply directly for an Oxford undergraduate degree programme. Oxford's Astrophoria Foundation Year is aimed at increasing access to Oxford for students from under-represented backgrounds.

The Cambridge Foundation Year is a unique course intended to provide a stepping stone to Cambridge for students who have been prevented from realising their potential due to educational disadvantage or disruption.​

The Sutton Trust

The Sutton Trust runs a wide range of programmes aimed at improving social mobility by supporting young people from less advantaged backgrounds to access to access leading universities and careers. Their programmes are completely free to attend. All costs – including travel, accommodation, food and activities – are paid for by the Trust and partners.
